David Zedaker

David is a native San Diegan, growing up near the shores of Point Loma.  His first attempt at drumming took place at a very young age in the family kitchen, where he beat on his mom's overturned pots and pans with wooden spoons.

As a young, aspiring drummer, David was influenced by the British invasion bands of the 60's, as well as the California surf sounds, Motown soul grooves and American blues artists.  Since then he has anchored many of San Diego's top dance bands, playing in genres such as rock, disco, jazz and alternative.  He has even performed in a few theater productions!

When not playing music, David enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, sailing and bicycling.  He has had the opportunity to travel extensively, and as a result is convinced San Diego is the best place to live and raise a family.

Although his musical career has included recording with several original projects, DZ's true love is playing dance music in a live performance setting.   Spectrum is a perfect match for his talents, giving him the opportunity to lay down an irresistible beat that makes you want to get up and dance!
