Jeff Williams
Guitar

Jeff has been playing guitar since the age of 11.  While other kids were playing football and going to the beach, he was sitting on the edge of his bed trying to emulate the likes of Eric Clapton, Angus Young, Edward Van Halen, Dan Huff, Pat Metheny, BB King, Eric Johnson, Ty Tabor, Randy Rhoades, Steve Lukather - and his absolute favorite guitarist, Phil Keaggy.

Jeff's guitar skills have taken him across the U.S. in various bands and "gun for hire" positions, which included session work for radio and TV.  While traveling and recording with the midwest-based bands Stephen Hero and Going Blind, he had the opportunity to share the bill with acts such as Badfinger, Molly Hatchet, Cheap Trick, BTO, Joan Jett, Kansas, Bullet Boys and Concrete Blonde.  Jeff also studied jazz theory in the music program at UCLA, where he received his teaching credential.

At his core he is a "rock and roll guy", but Jeff uses his knowledge and experience to explore a diverse array of musical styles and genres.  "Too much of one thing leads to complacency", says Jeff.  "Being the guitarist for Spectrum allows me to incorporate many of these styles, including R & B, rock, funk, Latin, rockabilly, surf, dance - and the list goes on and on."

For all the professionalism and attention to detail that a musician can bring to the table, at the end of the day it has to be fun and bring enjoyment to the audience.  "Music is my passion," Jeff says, "and my biggest desire is to share that with others and bring them happiness, even if only for as long as one song."
